ESPER SC Chapter
South Carolina Esper Chapter exhibited at the Columbia Philatelic Society Summer Show at Spring Valley High School August 19, 2023, at 120 Sparkleberry Lane, Columbia, SC. The South Carolina Chapter exhibits twice a year at the foyer/entrance to the cafeteria. The two shows are the Summer (August) and Winter (January), each highlights a different show theme. This past Summer Show honored the 50th Anniversary of the All-Volunteer Armed Forces of U.S.
CPA 50th Anniversary of the All-Volunteer Armed Forces of U.S. theme included an award presentation of the Nicolas G. Carter Local Volunteer Award (APS) for Oneal and Cassandra Tyler (show program consists of a congratulation article), certificates presented to other military service members present and posted military banners. The show director, Mr. Mark Postmus, stated the Esper Stamp Exhibit is an integral part of both their Winter and Summer shows and how each guest looks forward to seeing the Tylers’ ESPER elaborate and educational displays. Master of Ceremony CAPT John W. Owens, USN-Ret, President of CPS, presided over the program, shared historical military information legislating the all-volunteer military force, and assisted with the award presentation. Also, a show cachet was unveiled with the assistance of Mrs. Howard (SC District Customer Service Representative, USPS).

The Tylers (SC ESPER Chapter) highlighted the 50th Anniversary of the All-Volunteer Armed Forces of U.S. theme in the SC ESPER chapter exhibit that included phenomenal stamps, colorful cachets, informational folders/magazines, picture books, books, Black Heritage Albums, display photos, Kwanzaa & Juneteenth materials, dolls, candles, student activity booklets and various Reflection Magazine (Volume 29, Issues 3) including the featured award article on the Tylers.
